You may also request that we delete any data we hold on you. This will take place within 28 days of the request and will result in the closure of your account, as the data we hold is necessary to maintain your account. No refunds for subscriptions closed in this manner will be given. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

By signing up for an account with FlashyScience, whether paid or free, and whether an individual or institutional subscription, you give us permission to store the data required to maintain your account; these data are stored in a server located in the UK. You also give us permission to contact you via the email address you provide us with regarding your account. We would also like to contact you occasionally with information about FlashyScience updates, offers and information. You can opt into receiving news and information emails through our ‘Newsletter’ page on our website.

Financial data are not required or stored by FlashyScience. All financial data are stored in the Stripe platform and will not be given to third parties by FlashyScience in any personally identifiable format.

FlashyScience makes use of Google Analytics to understand visitors' and subscribers' use of the site. How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps. Users who don't want their data collected by Google Analytics can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
